Feehly Hill Clean Up
The Arrowtown Village Association and the Department of Conservation would like the help of the community to continue on the good work of last's years clean up. Volunteers were involved in track clearing of pest weeds and a general tidy up of the site in 2007, this is now to be followed up this year by more clearing to eradicate those pesky weeds and planting of native species on the tracks edge. This is part of a long term project which has a view to bring the hill to it's former glory.
Bring along your pruning saws, loppers, sturdy footwear, gloves and lunch.
Phone Barry at DOC, 03 442 7933 for information or to register as a helper, or come to the Arrowtown Preschool Car park for instructions. It is just a short climb to the top where you are rewarded with great views!
